Slugs at the Fini!

The slugs were created as part of a New Wave Agency initiative in collaboration with the University of Bristol Botanic Gardens. The annual sculpture festival invited work inspired by elements of their garden, and I was drawn to the towering giant redwood tree. I learned that redwoods are nurtured by tiny "slug gardeners," which inspired me to create a small army of ceramic slugs to inhabit the gardens for the Easter Sculpture Festival.

Now, New Wave is celebrating its recent projects with an exhibition at the Arnolfini, and the slugs are proud to be featured alongside an exciting collection of work! The exhibition runs from 8th February to 16th March, open daily from 11 AM – 6 PM (closed Mondays). You’ll find them in the top floor exhibition space—come say hello! 🐌✨
