This project involved illustrating the UWE Greetings Card. The brief was to design a festive card that wasn't overly seasonal, promoting inclusivity and diversity without appearing tokenistic.

My design features floral motifs in warm hues, with "Season's Greetings" in the center. I chose plants from around the world to celebrate diversity.

My other idea was to depict Earth from space, as seen by astronauts experiencing the overview effect. The overview effect is a cognitive shift reported by some astronauts while viewing Earth from space, characterized by "a state of awe with self-transcendent qualities, precipitated by a particularly striking visual stimulus." Around the edge of the planet are scenes of humanity as seen from above.
