Saddle Stitch

Coptic Stitch

Here are some images of the final book and an inside picture of the coptic binding. You can also see my attempt at pattern matching the corners of the book.

Important notes:

Always cut into the spine when cutting the papers.

Protect the work with the ruler.

Use N289 bookbinders PVA that is reversible/flexible

According to trade 96 sheets will fit in a saddle stitch.

Folded paper is called a section or signature.

1 sheet = 2 pages.

To find the grain of paper roll and bounce the sheet in your hand. Shape it into an oval. The direction with a larger oval is against the grain, a shorter oval is with the grain.
